In honor of his upcoming birthday, UNC basketball legend Michael Jordan has made a special donation to a well-known organization.

This week, UNC basketball legend Michael Jordan is celebrating his 60th birthday.

How will the “GOAT” celebrate? Well, he got the ball rolling by making a rather big donation to a well-known organization.

The six-time NBA champion has made a $10 million donation to Make-A-Wish. It is the largest donation that the organization has received in its 43-year history.

Through this donation, Jordan hopes that it will inspire others to help fulfill the wishes of the kids that are still waiting for their dreams and wishes to come true.

"“For the past 34 years, it’s been an honor to partner with Make-A-Wish and help bring a smile and happiness to so many kids. Witnessing their strength and resilience during such a tough time in their lives has truly been an inspiration. I can’t think of a better birthday gift than seeing others join me in supporting Make-A-Wish so that every child can experience the magic of having their wish come true.”"

Jordan has been an active supporter of the Make-A-Wish foundation since 1989. He was named chief wish ambassador in 2008, as he continues to be one of the most requested celebrity wish granters.

Even long after his playing days, Jordan still remains a major supporter of this children’s-based foundation. It’s great to see that he’s spending his milestone birthday by making another donation to a cause that is very special to him.
