For the first time in his NFL career, former UNC football standout Robert Quinn will play in the Super Bowl as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.

When the Philadelphia Eagles acquired Robert Quinn from the Chicago Bears, it was a move that was aimed at helping bolster the team’s defensive front for a deep postseason run.

Although he was forced to miss some time due to injury, Quinn is healthy and ready to try and help the Eagles capture another Super Bowl title.

With the Eagles securing the NFC Championship on Sunday, Quinn will be making his first Super Bowl appearance on February 12. He will be the lone former UNC football player to appear in this year’s big game.

The former Tar Heel has accomplished a lot over his 12-year career, as he not only was a first-round pick but has earned three trips to the Pro Bowl while being an All-Pro selection as well. However, a Super Bowl ring is something he has not yet accomplished, as he’ll look to change that over the next few weeks.

Quinn and the Eagles’ defense will look to slow down Patrick Mahomes and the high-powered Kansas City Chiefs offense, which isn’t an easy task by any means. However, the Eagles made roster moves like the one for Quinn in an effort to do such a thing.

This year’s Super Bowl will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 6:30 PM EST.
