UNC Basketball: Simeon Wilcher stars in Roselle Catholic win
UNC Basketball Class of 2023 commit Simeon Wilcher played a big role in Roselle Catholic’s latest victory over Don Bosco Prep.
When the McDonald’s All-American selections were announced, UNC basketball commit Simeon Wilcher was one of the most notable players who did not make the list.
However, the future Tar Heel did not let it get to him, as he put together a strong performance to help his high school team capture a come-from-behind victory on Wednesday night.
In a marquee matchup between two of New Jersey’s best teams, Wilcher and Roselle Catholic trailed Don Bosco Prep, led by 2024 five-star Dylan Harper, by three heading into the final three minutes of action.
From that point on, Wilcher took over the game.
Wilcher went on to score 11 straight points to help Roselle Catholic top Don Bosco by eight points. Highlights from his impressive fourth-quarter stretch could be seen in the video above.
Even though he did not earn McDonald’s All-American honors and dropped to a four-star rating, Simeon Wilcher is still a very talented basketball player who has a bright future ahead in Chapel Hill. He’s letting his play do the talking, as he has a lot to prove on the basketball court.
