Five-star forward Trentyn Flowers is down to five schools in his recruitment. Did the UNC basketball program make the cut?

Trentyn Flower’s recruitment is officially down to five programs.

The UNC basketball program is still in the mix, as the Tar Heels made Flowers’ list of finalists.

Leading up to this announcement, it was expected that North Carolina would remain in the mix for one of the top high school prospects in the state of North Carolina. Currently, Flowers is regarded as the No. 21 overall player in the Class of 2024 and the second-best player from his home state, according to 247Sports Composite.

The Tar Heels have already done some great work with this respective recruiting class, as five-star Elliot Cadeau and four-stars James Brown and Drake Powell have already committed to the program. If Flowers does make his way to Chapel Hill, the UNC basketball program will add another top talent to a recruiting class that already is considered one of the best in the entire country.

Even though his recruitment is starting to heat up, Flowers has not indicated when a final decision will be made. Until then, expect Hubert Davis and his staff to put the full-court press on in an effort to get Flowers to join the UNC basketball program.
