Former UNC basketball standout Brady Manek helped the Perth Wildcats end the 2022 calendar year with a 10-point victory on New Year’s Eve.

It doesn’t matter where he’s playing: Brady Manek still knows how to play the sport of basketball at a very high level.

As his current team, the Perth Wildcats, wrapped up 2022, it was the former Tar Heel that led them to a 10-point victory and their largest scoring output of the season.

Manek posted the first professional double-double of his career, as he scored 23 points while recording 10 rebounds and five assists. This outing marks as his second-highest-scoring game so far during the 2022-2023 campaign.

Through 18 games, Manek’s average of 11 points per game ranks fourth-best on the Wildcats’ roster. He’s been utilized as a starter and seems to be getting more comfortable by the day as he continues his rookie season.

On New Year’s Eve, Manek showcased the offensive skillset that the UNC basketball program saw plenty of during his one season on campus. For a guy of his size and shooting ability, he definitely has the ability to be a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses.

Based on the Brady Manek we all got to know, it wouldn’t be a surprise at all to see more big performances coming from him in the near future.
