UNC Baseball wins ACC Tournament Championship

In Scott Forbes’ second year at the helm, the UNC baseball program pulled off an extremely impressive run to win the ACC Tournament title.

First, the Tar Heels defeated Clemson in the opening round. This led North Carolina to a battle with No. 1 seed Virginia Tech, a matchup that the Tar Heels would win in dominant fashion.

The No. 8 seeded Tar Heels pulled off another upset in the semifinals, as they took down No. 4 seed Notre Dame to make their way to the championship bout.

In the title game, North Carolina defeated in-state rival NC State to secure the program’s eighth overall ACC tournament championship.

Speaking of the UNC baseball program, there’s one individual who burst onto the scene in 2022.
