The UNC basketball programs will compete in the inaugural Jumpman Invitational, as the Spectrum Center will have a special look for the event.

Both the UNC men’s and women’s basketball programs are set to take on Michigan as part of the inaugural Jumpman Invitational.

The event, which will be held at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, will feature the original four schools that signed partnership deals with Jordan Brand in both basketball and football. North Carolina’s participation in this event shouldn’t be a surprise, given its founder, Michael Jordan, is a UNC basketball legend.

Just hours prior to the women’s game against the Wolverines, we got a glimpse of the court prior to tip-off.

None of the teams competing will be wearing their white uniforms: instead, all four programs will be allowed to wear their school colors. The hope is that the court, which is predominately a light beige-type color and black, will help amplify the colors of the team’s uniforms.

Unless special uniforms are created for this event, the Tar Heels will be wearing their traditional road Carolina blue uniforms. There have been some hints about a potential “unique look” on social media, but nothing has been confirmed up to this point.

Regardless of what uniforms they are wearing, both programs will look to pick up victories against Michigan before the holiday break.
