After the UNC basketball program’s emotional victory over Ohio State, Armando Bacot expressed his love for the University of North Carolina.

It was an emotional afternoon at Madison Square Garden for the UNC basketball program, as they overcame a 14-point deficit to defeat the No. 23 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes in overtime.

The Tar Heels were outplayed in the first half but came out strong in the second half. However, the constant was star big man Armando Bacot, who was dominant throughout the entire contest.

Bacot scored a game-high 28 points and recorded 15 rebounds over his 37 minutes of action. It was clear that he left it all on the floor, as he was hustling on both ends of the floor, even diving for loose balls.

After the game, Bacot was interviewed by the CBS broadcast team. He was asked how he playing through his shoulder injury, one that currently has him around 70 percent healthy.

His response just shows how much these student-athletes love and care about the University of North Carolina as a whole.

Bacot cited his love for North Carolina as the reason he was able to fight through the injury. He went on to say that he “would die for this school, which is a very strong statement to show how much he cares about not only the UNC basketball program but the university as a whole.

"I love this school. I love these fans. I love everything about it. I would die for this school.”"

Based on his performance, you wouldn’t even think the senior big man was injured, given how dominant he was in the post throughout the entire contest. In fact, it’s amazing to think about how dominant he’s been while battling through injuries, not many people could fight through them while playing at such a high level.

Armando Bacot truly loves the University of North Carolina, which is evident based on the way he competes in every game he plays.

As much as Bacot loves North Carolina, the university (and its fans) love him just as much, as UNC is a better place because of the impact he’s made both on and off the court.
