With the 2022 regular season officially wrapped up, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced the 2022 All-ACC Football teams.
After winning the Coastal Division title, it should be no surprise to see the UNC football program being well-represented on this year’s list.

First Team

Josh Downs- Wide Receiver
Cedric Gray- Linebacker

The All-ACC teams are chosen by a voting panel of 51 media members and each of the league’s 14 head coaches. Players receive three points for each first-team vote, two points for each second-team vote, and one point for each third-team selection.
Josh Downs was the Tar Heels’ leading vote-getter, as the star wideout tied for the second-most points with 184, just three short of Pittsburgh running back Israel Abanikanda.
After an incredible regular season as a redshirt freshman, Maye represents the conference as the first-team quarterback. Cedric Gray led the ACC with 130 tackles, helping him gain the most votes for any linebacker in the conference.
In total (not including honorable mention) the UNC football program had eight selections, which was tied for third-most in the conference.
