Heading into the 2022-2023 regular season, we put together some intriguing lineup options that Hubert Davis could consider for the UNC basketball program.

It’s always a good thing to have a lot of talent on a roster, especially when that said roster is looking to compete for a national championship.

This is the case for the 2022-2023 UNC basketball team, as a mix of key returners and some important newcomers give Hubert Davis and his staff a lot of talent to work with.

Now, there aren’t any surprises as to who will start for the Tar Heels this season. In case you happened to forget, here’s the project starting lineup for North Carolina (barring injuries):

RJ Davis- Guard
Caleb Love- Guard
Leaky Black- Forward
Pete Nance- Forward
Armando Bacot- Center

The lineup features a little bit of everything: size, speed, shooting ability, lockdown defense along with some very valuable experience. Nance is the lone newcomer to the mix, as he transferred in from Northwestern to finish up his collegiate career.

We know the lineup above is going to see a lot of minutes, and rightly so. However, there are always some interesting lineups that may not ever see the light of day but are interesting to think about.

Let’s take a look at some of the lineups that we find potentially intriguing for this year’s team.
