On Thursday morning, a few members of the UNC women’s basketball program made a special appearance at a local elementary school.
Head coach Courtney Banghart, along with Eva Hodgson, Paulina Paris, and Kennedy Todd-Williams spent the morning at Scroggs Elementary in Chapel Hill. They participated in the school’s fourth-annual Hispanic Heritage Read-In, as they spent some quality time with some of the students.
Started the day in an awesome way ☀️📚😃

Thank you to Scroggs Elementary for having us over for the 4th-annual Hispanic Heritage Read-In. We had a great time1 #GoHeels pic.twitter.com/AReLhlkzQc
This is another great example of how student-athletes can make such an impact on their community. Banghart and her staff have done a tremendous job on the court, and do an even better job of guiding their student-athletes to become great people off the court as well.
Based on some social media posts, it appears as if they had a great time during their visit!
Could have so easily have slept in.
