UNC Football: Mack Hollins Has Career Day For Raiders
By Aaron Conrad
Former UNC Football walk-on player Mack Hollins had a career game for the Las Vegas Raiders versus the Tennessee Titans.
Mack Hollins had himself a day for his new team, the Las Vegas Raiders.
Before we look at his day, let’s remember the past.
Prior to the 2012 season, Hollins arrived in Chapel Hill, made the team as a walk-on and redshirted. Hollins was a four-year letterman for the Tar Heels from 2013 through 2016. He started all three of his final years in Chapel Hill. He finished his career with 81 receptions for 1,667 yards and 20 touchdowns. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles with the 118th pick in the 4th round of the 2017 NFL draft.
As I said in my article about Hollins making the Raiders as their 3rd receiver and team captain,he may have finally found his home in the National Football League. Here is just a sample of the day he had versus the Tennessee Titans.
In true Hollins fashion, it started with an incredible play on special teams (courtesy of @Digital_Prez on twitter.)

It continued with a series of plays as an offensive weapon for Derek Carr (courtesy of the @Raiders on Twitter.)

The Raiders would go on to lose the game despite the career day for Hollins. He finished the day with new career-highs in receptions (8) and receiving yards (158) along with a touchdown.
After seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins, Hollins has clearly found a home in Las Vegas with the Raiders. He is making an impact that is very much similar to what we saw him do for the UNC football program.
