The former UNC football standout is now set to begin a new football-related journey, as he’ll be a co-host for a new ACC Network show.

Even though he won’t be suiting up this season, former UNC football standout Tre Boston will be quite busy during the week.

The 30-year-old will be co-hosting “ACC PM,” a brand-new show on the ACC Network. Joined by host Mark Packer and co-host Taylor Tannebaum, the trio will be on air on weekdays from 4-7 PM.

“ACC PM” will focus on ACC football, even during the offseason period. According to reports, the show may hit the road on select days (possibly weekends) to college campuses to cover some of the conference’s biggest matchups.

Instead of playing football for approximately three hours, Boston will now talk about the sport for that amount of time throughout the week. Known as an outspoken person during his playing days, Boston got his first taste of broadcasting last year when he did some local television and radio work in the Charlotte, North Carolina area while also making some cameo appearances on NFL Network.

When asked about this new opportunity, the former Tar Heel feels that this is a perfect job for him.

"“I’m made for this job. I love it. My biggest thing is, I want to continue to be informed, to bring energy and to have fun. I want people to see my energy through the screen.”"

Aaron Katzman, the coordinating producer for the ACC Network, also discussed why he thinks Boston is a great fit to be a part of this new show.

"“Tre has a personality that brings a smile to your face and resonates through the screen. He’s very likable. He’s high energy, a ton of fun… And that ACC and NFL pedigree brings with it a respectability factor.”"

The reality is, football careers don’t last forever. For most guys, they spend a few years in the NFL and then don’t have anything to fall back upon.

After a rather successful seven-year career, Boston isn’t simply ready (or old enough!) to retire into the sunset. Instead, he found a new passion and is looking to share his ACC football knowledge with whoever decides to watch this new show.
