UNC Basketball: Theo Pinson helps reveal Dallas Mavericks schedule
With the NBA releasing the schedule for the 2022-2023 season, the Dallas Mavericks called upon a former UNC basketball standout to help unveil theirs.
Fans of the UNC basketball program know him as Theo Pinson, but the Dallas Mavericks helped reveal a whole new side of the player we’ve all grown to know and love.
On Wednesday, the NBA released its official schedule for the 2022-2023 season. As teams around the league post their respective schedules, the Mavericks thought it would be best to call upon Pinson to help do the honors.
Tar Heels fans, you definitely want to see this one.
Playing the role of Art Director Theophilus Pinson (yes, that’s his full name!), the former UNC basketball standout is termed the “greatest art director in the world.”
As he takes puppy calendars very seriously, Pinson is shown throughout the process, not only showing off his leadership skills but also working (and posing) with some puppies that help reveal some of the team’s most notable matchups.
Pinson, who signed a one-year deal with the Mavericks this offseason, was certainly the right player to help unveil this year’s schedule. At this point, we can now add “Art Director” and “Actor” to the many different talents that the former UNC basketball standout possesses.
Needless to say, this video put together by the Dallas Mavericks is simply “a work of art.”
