Five-star Trentyn Flowers talks UNC basketball recruiting
One of the top players in the Class of 2024 recently spoke about his recruitment and where the UNC basketball recruiting team stands in it.
The UNC basketball recruiting team has yet to extend an offer to five-star Class of 2024 prospect Trentyn Flowers.
However, that is very likely to change in the near future.
Flowers recently spoke to Alex Karamanos, the Nationwide High School Basketball Analyst for The Circuit, and discussed his current recruitment. The Tar Heels were part of the interview discussion, as the Winchester, Virginia native had some positive things to say about the program.
The Tar Heels join the likes of fellow Blue Blood programs Kentucky and Duke among the teams Flowers says he’s heard the most from. When asked specifically about North Carolina, here’s what Flowers had to say:
"“Coach Davis and Coach May have been very consistent with me. They say they love my game and are continuing to build a relationship with me”"
Both Hubert Davis and assistant coach Sean May are working on this recruitment, as they’ve made consistent contact with the five-star wing. At this point, it remains to be seen when the official scholarship offer will be presented to him.
Flowers currently projects as 247Sports Composite’s No. 8 ranked player in the Class of 2024. He is also regarded as the top prospect coming out of the state of Virginia.
Over the last year, Flowers’ has risen dramatically in the rankings. As his recruitment continues to heat up, expect the UNC basketball recruiting team to be heavily in the mix.
