UNC basketball standout Caleb Love was one of the major standouts during the recent Formula Zero “community” event in Portland, Oregon.

When it was announced that UNC basketball standout Caleb Love was going to participate in the Formula Zero “community,” we knew that the Tar Heel guard was a perfect fit.

The “community,” put together and led by NBA superstar Damian Lillard, hosted a select number of athletes (both at the high school and college level) as part of their recent event.  This wasn’t just a camp to teach the attendees about the game but was aimed toward giving them a greater perspective and knowledge of the different aspects of the profession itself.

For Love, he embraced this opportunity, earning MVP honors for the event.

The St. Louis, Missouri native was named the college student-athlete MVP, a term that stands for “Most Valuable Player/Person.” Love and three-star point guard Brandon Rechsteiner (Virginia Tech commit) were the student-athletes selected to take home the honors.

As he aspires to play basketball at the next level, this was a tremendous opportunity for Love to not only work with Lillard but gain some valuable insight that could be very useful to him in the future. It was an experience that Love will simply never forget.

Love is set to return to the UNC basketball program, a team that certainly has high expectations this upcoming season. His hard work this offseason, including his time at Formula Zero, should help him improve even more as he hopes to lead the Tar Heels to the national championship title that his team came so close to taking home a season ago.
