The UNC football recruiting team is throwing their hat into the mix for a 2025 running back prospect as his recruitment begins to heat up.

It might seem like 2025 is still a long way off, but for college football recruiting teams, it’s never too early to start focusing on some of the top future talents available.

The UNC football recruiting team has already extended 9 offers to student-athletes from the Class of 2025. In search of running back talent, the program’s latest offer has been extended towards a talented prospect out of the state of Virginia.

JaVon Ford II becomes the third Class of 2025 running back prospect to receive an offer from the Tar Heels. North Carolina’s offer becomes the fifth offer that Ford II has received thus far in his recruitment process.

Both On3 and 247Sports have yet to release their Class of 2025 rankings. However, Ford II’s stock continues to rise, as the Tar Heels join fellow ACC programs Duke and Virginia Tech among the teams that are currently in the mix.

At this point, what we do know is that Ford II is a 6-foot sophomore who attends King’s Fork High School. Courtesy of MaxPreps, you can check out some of his freshman year highlights here.

The UNC football recruiting team is always active, as they aren’t waiting around to identify players that they would like to see make their way to Chapel Hill. It shouldn’t surprise anyone if more offers are extended to underclassmen in the near future.
