In a recent survey of high school football players, the UNC football program ranks among one of the best brands in the sport.

The UNC football program seems to be trending in the right direction, as its brand is among the most popular in all of college football.

Yes, the University of North Carolina is a top-tier brand in college athletics. However, the football program is making notable progress, both on the field and in the recruiting ranks, as high school prospects are starting to take notice.

Recently, a college sports website, called Official Visit, surveyed 1,000 high school football players. The survey focused on the brand strength of programs across the country, as we know how important it is to land recruits in the modern era of recruiting.

No media was involved in this survey, as it focused solely on high school football players who aspire to play at the next level. Not only are the Tar Heels a top-40 brand, but were voted as a top-15 program in this regard as well.

The UNC football program comes in at No. 14 on the list. They rank as the third-highest true ACC school behind Clemson and Miami and fourth-highest when you factor in Notre Dame.

College football fans won’t be surprised with how the top schools are ranked, given the track record and recent on-field success of the programs. Although the UNC football program isn’t quite on the level of the likes of the top-tier teams, it’s refreshing to see that the brand is standing out to recruits, something that should help Mack Brown and his team with their recruiting efforts.
