UNC Women’s Basketball: Kennedy Todd-Williams has hops!!
It may not be long until we all get to witness UNC Women’s Basketball standout Kennedy Todd-Williams dunking on a basketball court.
Heading into her junior season, Kennedy Todd-Williams is expected to once again play a big role for the UNC women’s basketball program.
During her sophomore season, the Jacksonville, North Carolina native did a little bit of everything for the Tar Heels. Over 32 games played (all starts), Todd-Williams averaged 10.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game, as she helped her team make a strong run to the Sweet 16.
As a Tar Heel, Todd-Williams has definitely shown off her athletic ability every time she’s been on the basketball court. However, a recent social media post will certainly have fans of the UNC women’s basketball program excited to see what she can accomplish this upcoming season.
The above post was published as an Instagram story by Jessika Carrington, the program’s new Assistant to the AD/Director of Basketball Operations. If you take a closer look at the photo, you’ll see Todd-Williams showing off her impressive vertical, as the photo shows the rising junior reaching at least a half of her hand above the rim.
Dunking is a rare phenomenon in women’s basketball, but there are some very athletic players who have accomplished the feat. After seeing this image, you can certainly make the case that it may not be long before Todd-Williams is able to throw down a few dunks of her own.
Todd-Williams isn’t the tallest player in her sport (she’s listed at 6-foot on the GoHeels 2022-2023 roster), but her athletic ability is certainly on display with this photo.
I don’t know about you, but I really hope that we get some footage (whether in-game or even in practice) of Todd-Williams throwing down some dunks in the near future!
