UNC Basketball: Simeon Wilcher earns Peach Jam All-Circuit honors

UNC basketball commit Simeon Wilcher has earned All-Circuit honors for his tremendous overall performance at the Nike EYBL Peach Jam event.

Throughout the summer circuit, UNC basketball commit Simeon Wilcher played at a level that definitely puts him in contention to be considered the top point guard in his recruiting class.

Wilcher ended the summer on a very high note, as he put together a string of outstanding performances during the Nike EYBL Peach Jam event. For his efforts, Wilcher has received some very notable tournament honors.

On Tuesday, the All-Circuit teams were released, as Wilcher was among the 10 prospects who earned first-team honors. Considering that the event featured some of the top high school talents from across the country, it goes to show you just how well Wilcher played throughout the week in South Carolina.

Throughout pool play, Wilcher was simply unstoppable. He averaged 19 points, five rebounds, and five assists through the opening round, all while shooting over 50 percent from the floor. In his best performance of pool play, Wilcher scored 30 points while making a staggering 83 percent of his shots.

Overall, Wilcher averaged 17.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game while playing for City Rocks (NY). Throughout the week, he showed his ability to score from all three levels while also showcasing his athleticism as well as his above-average playmaking skills.

For fans of the UNC basketball program, seeing Wilcher’s final AAU performance will certainly have them even more excited for his anticipated arrival on campus. As he continues to develop his skills, he certainly has the ability to be a game-changing player from the minute he gets to Chapel Hill next summer.
