UNC basketball fans: mark your calendars! The Tar Heels have released their non-conference schedule for the 2022-2023 season.

If you don’t have it out already, we suggest that you get out your calendars to mark down the UNC basketball program’s non-conference schedule!

On Friday morning, North Carolina released their 2022-2023 non-conference basketball slate. After an exhibition game against Johnson C. Smith on October 28, Hubert Davis and the Tar Heels will open up their season in Chapel Hill against the University of North Carolina Wilmington on November 7.

North Carolina will play their first four contests at home, as they’ll play five total non-conference games at the Dean Smith Center. Along with their matchup against UNCW, Davis and the Tar Heels will also host College of Charleston, Gardner-Webb, and James Madison.

The UNC basketball program is also scheduled to participate in the Phil Knight Invitational (PKI) for the second time over the last six seasons. This event will give the Tar Heels three non-conference games on November 24, 25, and 27.

North Carolina will travel to Indiana as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, and will also compete in both the CBS Sports Classic and Jumpman Invitational. Opponents for those respective events are expected to be officially announced at a later date, but early speculation tabs the Tar Heels matching up with Ohio State in the CBS Sports Classic.

If the anticipation wasn’t already rising, the release of some of the Tar Heels’ schedule will certainly add to it. For fans interested in purchasing tickets, check with Go Heels over the next couple of weeks for more information.

I don’t know about you, but I simply can’t wait for November 7!
