The UNC football program has added to their 2023 recruiting class, as a three-star cornerback prospect will be bringing his talents to Chapel Hill.

It was a big weekend in Chapel Hill for the UNC football program, as they hosted 17, yes, 17 prospects for official visits.

Shortly after it ended, one of the talented players who visited decided that North Carolina was the right school for him.

On social media, Dale “Tre” Miller announced his official commitment to the UNC football program. The three-star cornerback prospect from the Class of 2023 is currently rated by 247Sports Composite as the No. 6 overall player from the state of Oklahoma.

After a strong junior season playing in Alabama, the offers started to roll in for Miller, as he drew interest from a notable list of teams. The Tar Heels jumped into the mix for Miller rather late, as their official offer came on May 30.

However, the late jump didn’t hurt Mack Brown and North Carolina, as they were the only program that received an official visit from Miller, one that led to his commitment just a few hours after the visit concluded.

Here’s a scouting report on Miller from 247Sports Midlands Region Recruiting Analyst Gabe Brooks:

"Undersized but instinctive, aware natural cover corner who can play outside or over the slot. Fluid mover with short-area suddenness to crowd receivers.Displays turn-and-run speed on the field supported by encouraging testing data. Turns and locates the ball fairly well. Particularly deft staying tight in the short-to-intermediate passing game.Lack of ideal size limits long-term upside. Will need to add mass and strength to maximize tackling effectiveness. Lacks desired multi-sport context and two-way snaps relative to recent NFL Draft results.Nevertheless, a natural at the position who displays clear hyper-competitive nature wanted at cornerback. Projects as a Power Five prospect with the potential to become a quality starter."

If you’re looking to keep tabs on Miller throughout his senior season, it’s important to know that he’s gone through two school transfers over the last few months.  First, Miller transferred to Bradenton (Ala.) IMG Academy, and followed that by transferring to Edmond (Okla.) Deer Creek High, where he’ll play football this upcoming fall season.

This is another nice addition to the UNC football program’s recruiting Class of 2023. Mack Brown and company hope that more of the players who visited this weekend will follow Miller’s lead.
