UNC Women’s Basketball: Deja Kelly… what a teammate!!
The UNC Women’s Basketball program has benefitted from one of Deja Kelly’s NIL deals, as she recently hooked up her teammates and coaches with a special gift.
Since the NIL (Name, Image, & Likeness) rules have been put into place, the entire landscape of college sports has changed.
Student-athletes have a unique opportunity to now benefit from their own personal brands. This has bode well for some of college sports’ most notable athletes, including UNC women’s basketball standout Deja Kelly.
Kelly already has a handful of big-time endorsements to her name, such as Dunkin Donuts, Outback Steakhouse as well as Forever 21. As much as she’s benefitted from these notable deals, she hasn’t forgotten about her Tar Heel teammates and coaches throughout the process.
As part of the “Beats Fam,” which promotes the Beats by Dre brand, Kelly presented the members of the UNC women’s basketball program with a special gift. That gift, as posted on social media by UNC women’s basketball head coach Courtney Banghart, was a special pair of customized Dr. Dre Beats.
Each pair of these Carolina Blue headphones are customized for the individual player or coach that received them. Along with the color scheme, one other thing is the same on each pair, as Kelly herself included this little message to show her appreciation for her team:
"“A small thank you to my sisters I go to war with every day. Let’s finish strong!-DK"
As the Tar Heels hit the road this season, they’ll have these specially customized headphones to help them travel in style, courtesy of this awesome gift from Deja Kelly.
I don’t know about you, but I definitely want a pair of these stylish headphones!
