UNC Football Recruiting target announces Top 3, sets decision date
The UNC football recruiting team is still in the mix for Jamaal Jarrett, as the four-star defensive lineman has narrowed his finalists to three programs.
On Sunday afternoon, four-star defensive lineman prospect Jamaal Jarrett announced his three finalists in his recruitment process.
Fortunately for the UNC football recruiting team, they are still very much in the mix.
Jarrett is focusing on Auburn, Georgia, and North Carolina at this stage of his recruitment. Along with announcing his top 3, the Greensboro, North Carolina native has also said that he will make his final decision on July 19.
The 6-foot-6, 350-pound defensive lineman is a big-time prospect, as seen by the caliber of programs that have been vying for his commitment. Currently, 247Sports Composite tabs Jarrett as the No. 26 overall defensive lineman in the Class of 2023 and ranks him as the No. 3 overall player out of his home state of North Carolina.
Although the most recent Crystal Ball predictions have him heading to Georgia, North Carolina is still a strong contender to land him when it’s all said and done. If he commits to the UNC football program, Jarrett would take over as the team’s top recruit in the Class of 2023.
This recruitment process is one that Tar Heel fans should certainly keep an eye on over the next couple of weeks. It will definitely be interesting to see how this one ultimately plays out, and with a month left to work with, Mack Brown and his staff will definitely make a strong push to lead this talented defensive lineman to Chapel Hill.
