Summer League Assignments for the UNC baseball players
Members of the UNC baseball program will be busy this summer, as a good amount of Diamond Heels will participate in Summer League action.
Although the UNC baseball program’s season is over, the Diamond Heels will be very active over the upcoming summer months.
On Thursday, the Diamond Heels announced their 2022 Summer League assignments. North Carolina will be represented by 20 players who will be playing across five different leagues over the next couple of months.
Six Tar Heels will be competing in the highly-respected Cape Cod League, while eight players will stay close to Chapel Hill as they’ll participate in the Coastal Plain League.

As the list above shows, the Tar Heels will be very active this summer. The goal for the players is to get in some additional reps while gaining some valuable experience for when they return back to Chapel Hill for the 2023 season.
