UNC Basketball Recruiting: Top 2024 guard visits Chapel Hill
The UNC basketball recruiting team is wasting no time with the Class of 2024, as one of the top guards in the class has already visited Chapel Hill.
Cam Scott has been on the UNC basketball recruiting team’s radar for quite some time now.
The Tar Heels have kept their eye on the 6-foot-5 shooting guard and officially extended an offer to him back on February 13 while he visited campus to check out a game. This was his second such visit of the season, but this wouldn’t be the last time Scott found his way to Chapel Hill.
This week, things started to heat up a bit on Scott’s recruitment trail, as he made yet another visit to North Carolina.
On Wednesday, June 15, college coaches were officially allowed to contact Class of 2024 prospects, as Hubert Davis and his staff wasted no time getting in touch with Scott. The following day, the Lexington, South Carolina native was in Chapel Hill for a visit.
The five-star guard, rated as the top player out of the state of South Carolina (according to 247Sports) posted the above pictures on his Instagram account. Of course, the photos are taken in front of the Jordan-brand sneaker wall, a trademark spot in which some of the top prospects in the entire country have had a photo shoot in front of.
After his last visit to Chapel Hill, Scott raved about the atmosphere that the university has to offer:
"“That (North Carolina) is a different type of atmosphere. The fans come out with intensity, no matter who they are playing. That was the biggest takeaway I had from the visit. I like the blue color. They have a very nice campus. Coach (Jeff) Lebo is the main one in contact with us.”"
Hubert Davis and his staff are wasting no time, as they’re trying to lure in the top talent that the Class of 2024 has to offer. We still have some time before Scott will make a decision, but a commitment from him would be a great start to this recruiting class for the UNC basketball program.
