UNC Basketball: Reggie Bullock sets Mavericks playoff record
Former UNC basketball standout Reggie Bullock has set a new Dallas Mavericks playoff record for most three-pointers made in a single postseason.
Reggie Bullock has played a big role in the Dallas Mavericks playoff run so far.
The former UNC basketball standout helped the Mavericks overcome a series deficit to the Phoenix Suns, and is looking to do the same as they hope to come back in their current series against the Golden State Warriors.
Regardless of how the rest of the series (and playoffs) unfold, Bullock has already etched his name into the Dallas Mavericks record books.
With his 50 made three-point field goals, Bullock now holds the record for the most in a single postseason in franchise history. The former Tar Heel has done most of his damage from the beyond-the-arc, as he’s shooting just over 35 percent from three during the postseason.
Bullock has been a workhorse for the Mavericks, as he’s among the players with the most amount of playing time during the 2022 playoffs. He’s coming off a stellar performance that helped the Mavericks avoid elimination, and he’ll look to continue that trend over the next couple of games.
To coincide with his strong play, the former Tar Heel has also received recognition off the court as well. Bullock was recently named the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Social Justice Champion in recognition of his dedication to pursuing social justice and advancing Abdul-Jabbar’s life mission to engage, empower and drive equality for individuals and groups who have been historically marginalized or systemically disadvantaged, specifically within the LGBTQ+ community.
Needless to say, it’s been a great playoff run so far for Reggie Bullock. We’ll have to wait and see if the former UNC basketball standout can help keep his team in the mix.
