The question remains: did UNC basketball standout Armando Bacot throw a strike for his ceremonial first pitch at Camden Yards?!

Armando Bacot doesn’t seem to ever shy away from the spotlight. In fact, the UNC basketball standout has risen to the occasion multiple times throughout his college basketball career.

On Friday, Bacot was once again put on center stage, as he was tasked with throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at Camden Yards prior to the Baltimore Orioles’ contest against the Tampa Bay Rays.

The question remains: did Bacot find the strike zone, or will his pitch go down among the worst that the sport has ever seen?!

If you doubted Bacot, we’re disappointed in you!

As he stood just in front of the pitchers’ mound, Bacot threw a perfect strike to Orioles catcher Anthony Bemboom. The moment was captured on video by Jimmy’s Famous Seafood, one of the major brands that Bacot represents.

Bacot absolutely took the right approach to his first pitch. Oftentimes, people attempt to throw from the top of the mound, which, if you don’t do it on a regular basis, could be rather challenging. Standing a few feet in front of the mound definitely won’t hurt anyone!

Additionally, the Richmond, Virginia native didn’t try to overthrow the ball. Instead, he put a nice lob to his throw in order to hit his target, as Bemboom barely had to move his glove to secure the pitch!

Of course, the Orioles may be looking to add Bacot to their roster after his performance. However, we’re sorry to tell them that they can’t have him, as he still has some unfinished business to take care of in Chapel Hill.
