Two UNC basketball commits have been invited to participate in the upcoming USA Men’s U18 Training Camp in Houston, Texas.

The 2022 USA Basketball Men’s U18 FIBA Americas Championship National Team training camp will be held from May 26-June 2 in Houston, Texas.

The athletes participating in the camp will be vying for a spot on the USA Basketball U18 National Team that will compete at the 2022 FIBA U18 Americas Championship in Tijuana, Mexico. As the camp is just a few weeks away, the players who have been invited have officially been announced.

Of the 27 players that are expected to participate, two are currently committed to the UNC basketball program. Those players are Seth Trible, from the Class of 2022, as well as Gregory “G.G.” Jackson of the Class of 2023.

Jackson already has some connections to USA Basketball, as he participated at the 2022 USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team minicamp in New Orleans last month. Trimble will be a first-time participant with the USA Basketball National Team.

This will be a great experience for both players, as they’ll have the opportunity to compete with some of the best high school players in the entire country. Given that they were selected to participate in this event, it shows just how much people around the sport respect what they both bring to the table on the court.
