UNC Basketball: Check out Theo Pinson’s game day fit!
We may be biased, but we think that former UNC basketball standout Theo Pinson wins the “Best Dressed Award” for Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Due to being on a two-way contract, former UNC basketball standout Theo Pinson is ineligible to participate in this year’s NBA Playoffs.
However, that hasn’t stopped him from simply being Theo.
The former Tar Heel has made a name for himself by being one of the most supportive teammates in the entire league. Even if he isn’t seeing playing time, Pinson is always on his feet, hyping up his teammates and helping them in any way possible. His reputation of being one of the best bench hype-men has followed him, as the passion he brings clearly rubs off on his fellow teammates.
Prior to a critical game three of the Western Conference Semifinals, the Dallas Mavericks posted some “fit checks,” showcasing some of the players’ attire as they made their way into the arena.
In what will not shock you by any means, Pinson’s outfit showcased his love for the University of North Carolina.
Pinson arrived at the American Airlines Center wearing a North Carolina letterman jacket and matching Nike sneakers. To add to his outfit, the former Tar Heel even took it a step further, carrying a UNC football helmet with him into the arena!
It’s simple: find someone who loves you like Theo Pinson loves the University of North Carolina.
Although he wasn’t seen with the helmet on the sideline, the Mavericks’ top hype man rocked his UNC-inspired attire courtside during his team’s victory over the Phoenix Suns. Of course, Pinson was ecstatic when fellow former Tar Heel Reggie Bullock drained the game-clinching three-pointer!
Now, you may not be superstitious, but maybe Pinson should continue wearing UNC gear as long as the Mavericks keep winning playoff games.
It may sound crazy, but it just might work!
