UNC Basketball: Jackson Watkins honors Brady Manek on TikTok
The UNC basketball walk-on put together a heartfelt “goodbye” TikTok video post for Brady Manek.
It’s now been a few weeks since the UNC basketball program’s 2021-2022 season ended, but it still hasn’t stopped the players from making quality content on social media.
We’ve discussed how Manek put together some comical TikTok videos during the Tar Heels run to the national championship game. As the graduate transfer is now set to leave the program, his teammate, walk-on Jackson Watkins, appears to be ready to take on the reins of the social media posts.

As Manek officially cleared out his locker, Watkins put together this heartfelt video in honor of his former teammate. With the song “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston playing in the background, Watkins put together a string of videos that feature the standout transfer forward.
First, Manek is seen dragging a bag across the floor of the Tar Heels locker room, a sign that he is officially taking his belongings from his locker. After, there is a camera shot that pans from Puff Johnson’s locker to an empty locker, the one that belonged to Manek (indicated by the No. 45 that is seen at the very top of it).
Finally, when you thought it simply couldn’t get any better, Manek is seen playing video games… wearing a Ninja Turtle hoodie (or onesie, we’re not really sure at this point!)
Needless to say, the bond that Manek created with the “Biscuit Boys” is one that became very strong over just a few months of time. Even though Manek is moving on to other ventures, it’s safe to say that these guys now have a connection that will last a lifetime.
