Qudus Wahab

Like Vanover, Qudus Wahab is another player looking to transfer once again this offseason.

After two seasons at Georgetown, the Lagos, Nigeria native joined the Maryland program for the 2021-22 season. With potentially two years of eligibility remaining, Wahab is looking to play elsewhere once again next season.

Throughout his collegiate career, Wahab has primarily served in a starter’s role. The 6-foot-11 big man has averaged 8.4 points and 5.9 rebounds over his 90 career contests.

It’s likely that Wahab is looking to transfer given how his minutes significantly decreased when he arrived at Maryland. After averaging almost 28 minutes per game at Georgetown, Wahab played under 20 minutes a night for the Terrapins.

Wahab is another player that could simply add to the Tar Heels’ frontcourt depth. Given that he has experience as both a starter and as a reserve, he’s a student-athlete that Davis could utilize in different ways to help meet the needs of the team.

Of course, we all want Armando Bacot to stay in Chapel Hill for another season. However, these four players will be ones to keep an eye on IF Bacot decides to leave the UNC basketball program.
