Connor Vanover

Earlier, we mentioned how the current transfer portal is not filled with many viable frontcourt options. This next one is a guy who may not come in and be a 25-plus minute per-game starter but could help provide some depth for Davis to work with.

Let’s say that the Tar Heels are comfortable with using Will Shaver and Jalen Washington in the frontcourt next season. Both players are quite talented, but lack experience, which could lead to some growing pains.

Although he was limited to just 15 games this season, Connor Vanover is a player who can provide some really nice size down in the paint.

Standing at 7-foot-3, the Little Rock, Arkansas native is certainly someone who wouldn’t blend in with a crowd. Looking for a third collegiate program to join, North Carolina could provide him with the opportunity to potentially compete for a starting job down low.

After transferring from California, Vanover started 37 games for Arkansas over the last two seasons. His overall numbers won’t “wow” you, but he is a guy who could provide a team with 15-20 minutes of solid contributions a game.
