Johni Broome

Among the big men available in the transfer portal, Johni Broome is considered one of the best.

The Morehead State transfer is coming off a strong season in which he averaged 16.8 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. He played a major role in helping the Eagles put together a 23-11 season.

Broome would immediately provide the Tar Heels with a strong rebounding presence, but also has developed into a great shot blocker. After averaging just under two shots per game in his first collegiate season, the 6-foot-10 forward blocked nearly four shots a game this past season.

With three seasons of eligibility remaining, Broome could be a long-term option for Hubert Davis and his staff. The Plant City, Florida native would be an impact starter right away for North Carolina, as his skill set would address some of the major areas of need if Bacot isn’t in the mix.
