Belmont guard Will Richard (4) shoots past Vanderbilt guard Jamaine Mann (23) during the second half of a first round NIT basketball game at Memorial Gymnasium Tuesday, March 15, 2022 in Nashville, Tenn.Nas Vandy Belmont Nit 018 /

Will Richard

Richard may not shoot the ball as effectively as some of the other players on this list, but he does do something that the other players don’t:

Rebound the basketball.

At 6-foot-5, Richard averaged six rebounds per game during his lone season at Belmont. He’s not afraid to crash the boards, which is a trait that could be very enticing to Hubert Davis and his staff.

In 33 games this season, the Fairburn, Georgia native averaged 12.1 points per game, mostly in a starter’s role. He was a solid contributor for a Belmont team that went 25-8 and finished second in the OVC.

Of course, you’d have to wonder how his game will translate to a higher-level program such as North Carolina. However, given his toughness, solid shooting numbers, and above-average free-throw shooting, he’s a guy that will draw a good amount of interest in the transfer portal.
