With a considerable amount of uncertainty and the possibility of early departures, the UNC basketball program should recruit these 6 impact transfers.

Now that the 2021-22 college basketball season has officially come to a close, it’s time to start looking ahead to the future of the UNC basketball program.

There will be some very tough decisions to be made by the players over the next couple of weeks, as they’ll have to decide whether they want to stay in Chapel Hill, enter the NBA Draft, or pursue other opportunities via the transfer portal.

One of the biggest decisions that will have major implications on next year’s Tar Heels squad comes from sophomore guard Caleb Love.

After a tremendous NCAA Tournament run, Love was one of a few North Carolina players that improved their NBA Draft stock. Even though Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program would love to have him back for another season, it’s very likely that Love will at least entertain the possibility of playing in the pros.

IF Love does decide to leave North Carolina, the Tar Heels will have a rather big hole to fill in their backcourt. Luckily, the transfer portal is open for business, and the following half-dozen guards are instant-impact players that the UNC basketball program needs to target.
