Fortunately, if you want to watch the UNC basketball program compete live in the National Championship game, you can score tickets for a really cheap price.

The biggest game in NCAA men’s basketball is Monday night in New Orleans, and surprisingly, ticket prices are super cheap.

According to TickPick, a no-fee secondary ticket marketplace, ticket prices for the UNC basketball program’s title matchup against Kansas have plummeted following this weekend’s Final Four results.

In fact, this is the cheapest NCAA Tournament championship game on record.

Let’s take a closer look at the most recent numbers:

Prior to the epic Duke vs. North Carolina battle, the cheapest ticket for the title game sold for $130. After the Tar Heels picked up the victory, the cheapest ticket sold went for $29, a 77 percent drop in price.

The current get-in price for tonight’s game is sitting at $28, while the average purchase price is in the range of $337. When compared to the last three title games, these prices are significantly lower:

2021 (Baylor-Gonzaga): $228 (714% more expensive)
2019 (Virginia-Texas Tech): $92 (228% more expensive)
2018 (Villanova-Michigan): $47 (67% more expensive)

The price drop most likely occurred once Duke, in Coach K’s final season, was eliminated from the tournament. It’s safe to say that the Blue Devils presence in the game would’ve forced the prices up, given that it would have ultimately been Krzyzewski’s final time on the Duke sidelines.

Regardless, if you’re in the New Orleans area and want to support the Tar Heels, there’s a great opportunity for you to do so for a cheap cost. Even if you want to venture towards more expensive tickets, it wouldn’t necessary cost you an arm and a leg to get into the venue.
