UNC Basketball: Brady Manek celebrates Tar Heels’ victory like only he can

Following the UNC basketball program’s big win over Duke in the Final Four on Saturday night, Brady Manek celebrated like only he can.

Brady Manek didn’t have his best game of the NCAA Tournament in the Tar Heels’ Saturday night victory over the Duke Blue Devils in the Final Four, but that wasn’t going to stop him from celebrating in a way that only he can.

In recent weeks, we’ve seen him perform classic rock in the bathroom and reenact a popular 90s sitcom following North Carolina victories in the big dance. He may have one-upped himself after the Tar Heels’ 91-87 victory over Duke, which sent head coach Mike Krzyzewski into retirement the last way he would have liked to: at the hands of his greatest rival.

Just over an hour after the Tar Heels closed out their impressive victory, Manek again took to Tik Tok to unleash his quirky sense of humor on all of us, and it was an absolute slam dunk.

“Goin to the SHIP,” Manek said in his post along with a video of him and the UNC walk-ons playing ping-pong. It wasn’t just any game of ping-pong, though, as Manek and company ditched the traditional paddles very early in the game and switched to lids, bottles, chairs, banners, a flat-screen TV, and even a human head.

One thing is for sure: Brady Manek knows how to have a good time and he’s been having a lot of them since joining the North Carolina basketball program. A fifth-year senior from Oklahoma, Manek is just a one-year rental for the Tar Heels, but he’s certainly making the most of his time on and off the court.

And the Tar Heels and their fans continue to reap the benefits.
