After one of the craziest March Madness contests in UNC basketball history, junior Armando Bacot took to Twitter to comment on the game as a whole.

For college basketball fans, March Madness can absolutely drive you crazy.

Whether you’re watching from the comfort of your home, a nearby restaurant or bar, or even in actual attendance at the game, these contests are typically filled with nerve-wracking moments that leave us all screaming, yelling, or if we’re lucky, cheering.

Now, we all know how we felt watching the UNC basketball second-round battle with No. 1 seed Baylor.

Imagine how the players and coaches felt!

What seemed to look like a game on the verge of a blowout turned into an emotional roller coaster, one that featured a questionable ejection of Brady Manek and a stretch of favorable officiating for the East Region’s No. 1 seed that played a major role in helping them erase a 25-point deficit.

All of this, and the game proceeded to overtime! Just what we all needed when our blood pressure was already sky-high!

Fortunately, the Tar Heels were able to overcome the adversity and pulled away with a victory to advance to the Sweet 16.

During the game, people from all over, ranging from fans to analysts to those who were simply worried about their bracket being busted, commented on the issues of the game on social media. After the final buzzer sounded (which felt like it was the end of a 24-hour marathon), the players took to the internet to voice their opinions on what is probably the craziest sporting event that they’ve ever taken part in.

Junior Armando Bacot was one of the Tar Heels to tweet just a little while after the game ended. In his first tweet, you can sense the relief that his team was able to pull off the victory.

In the second tweet, you can sense that the fans let their star player know how their stress levels drastically increased over the final 10 minutes of regulation along with the five-minute overtime period. Although Bacot can definitely relate to all of us, he noted that a win is still a win.

If it was up to the players, they certainly would have preferred a blowout victory. However, that wasn’t the narrative designed for this one, and as Bacot mentions, the win still feels very good as the team keeps their season alive.
