Brady Manek reached a personal milestone, as he recorded his 300th three-pointer in UNC basketball’s victory over NC State.

When Brady Manek was recruited by North Carolina via the transfer portal, Hubert Davis had visions of adding a versatile big man to his frontcourt that could flat-out shoot the basketball.

Ultimately, Manek decided to join the UNC basketball program, and the decision has definitely paid off for both sides.

After spending four seasons at Oklahoma, the senior transfer has fit in nicely the Tar Heels. He has become an “X-Factor” offensively, as his ability to shoot the basketball has been a huge boost for this year’s squad.

On Saturday, Manek had yet another strong offensive performance, as he scored 16 points and recorded six rebounds to go along with five assists. His offensive efficiency was once again impressive, as he connected on six of his 9 shots from the floor.

The big story, however, was a personal milestone that Manek reached during this contest. Manek has reached the 300 three-point field goal mark throughout his collegiate career.

It’s not often that you find a player like Manek. Not only is he built like a typical big man, but has the ability to shoot the basketball as well as anyone on the floor. He’s a tough matchup for opposing players, as he’s skilled enough to beat you down low, but will create a matchup nightmare when he’s pulling up from beyond the arc.

Manek has been a tremendous boost for the UNC basketball program, as the skillset that he presents is something that the Tar Heels have certainly lacked over the past few seasons. Even though it’s unfortunate that he’ll only have this season in Chapel Hill, it was great that he was able to become such a huge impact on this year’s roster.
