The UNC basketball program has taken the next step in the recruitment for a player in the 2024 class after months of pursuing him.

After shooting guard Cam Scott took another visit to North Carolina on Saturday to watch the Tar Heels trounce the Florida State Seminoles, the recruit officially received an offer.  Scott took to Twitter to announce that he officially has an offer from the program.

He posted this via social media on Saturday afternoon:

The 6-foot-5, 165-pound guard out of Lexington, South Carolina is now the second player in the 2024 recruiting class to earn an offer from Hubert Davis and his staff, joining North Carolina product Jarin Stevenson.

Scott has been on UNC’s radar for a while now, making a few visits to the program over the past few months. UNC has also checked in on him from time to time but an offer was still looming for him.

Then Saturday happened and the latest visit proved to be the one to get him his offer. Scott now has a total of 10 offers in his recruitment as UNC joins Clemson, Georgia, Florida State, South Carolina, Texas Tech, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Winthrop, and Ole Miss as programs that have extended an offer.

In addition to Scott and Stevenson, UNC is also after other prospects in the 2024 class including in-state recruit Drake Powell who was also in attendance for Saturday’s game. It’s very early in the process for the 2024 class but things are starting to heat up in terms of the pursuit for recruits.
