With the 2021 season over for the UNC Football program, the focus now turns to building the roster for next season and on. Mack Brown and the coaching staff will focus on recruiting moving forward and will welcome in a top 10 class for 2022.

But with that cycle wrapping up, the future classes are becoming more and more important and that starts with 2023.

The Tar Heels have just one commitment for the 2023 class so far with four-star quarterback Tad Hudson committing back in August. UNC has several offers out right now to 2023 prospects and with a long ways to go, they should lock up some more commitments soon.

Last week, they took a step forward for one recruit making his top 11. Three-star defensive tackle Jamaal Jarrett released an update to his recruitment, cutting his list of 13 offers down to a final 11.

The Greensboro, North Carolina native is down to North Carolina, Alabama, Florida,Georgia, Penn State, N.C. State, Michigan, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, Kentucky and Washington, he announced via social media.

Jarrett is a 6-foot-5, 330-pound defensive lineman is ranked No. 368 overall, No. 25 defensive tackle and the No. 9 player in the state of North Carolina per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.

He has offers from some big programs including Alabama and Georgia but the in-state factor might play a big role in his recruitment. And that would be good news for the Tar Heels if that is indeed the case.
