Sam Howell

He has not made an official announcement yet, but all signs lead to the Sam Howell era in Chapel Hill being over.

Simply put, Tar Heel faithful was very lucky to have him as our quarterback over the last three seasons.

What a career Howell put together at North Carolina, as he will leave as the best quarterback to ever wear the Carolina blue.

If this is the end of his time in college, Howell will leave the UNC football program holding 21 records. We could sit here for hours talking about all his accomplishments (and I’m sure the Keeping It Heel team will at some point), but as we try to soak this all in, there’s simply one thing to say to Howell:

Thank You!

Thank you for making this program better than when you got here. We had the pleasure of watching you lead this team, and the number of memories you created for us all will last a lifetime.

If you do declare for the NFL Draft (which is very likely), we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. Tar Heels nation will be rooting you on every Sunday!
