The recruitment for a former UNC Basketball recruiting target appears to be finally coming to an end after a few twists.

It was just under a year ago when Roy Williams and the Tar Heels offered five-star prospect Robert Dillingham in the 2023 class. From there, Dillingham appeared to be a lock to end up in Chapel Hill. Even when Hubert Davis took over, UNC still pursued him that is until the Summer when the interest had soured.

For whatever reason, Dillingham and UNC kind of faded and the Tar Heels backed off the recruitment as he headed to play for Donda Academy in California. Dillingham then cut his list of schools down and officially eliminated the Tar Heels. Now, he’s ready to make a decision and he could end up in the state of North Carolina.

Ahead of Dillingham’s decision on Wednesday, the N.C. State Wolfpack have picked up eight crystal ball predictions for the five-star recruit and are the favorites to land him.

The point guard has landed eight crystal ball predictions since Monday morning with all eight of them going to N.C. State. That includes predictions from national recruiting analysts Jerry Meyer, Eric Bossi, Travis Branham, Brandon Jenkins and Dushawn London as well as some other Wolfpack reporters.

The 6-foot-2, 165-pound Dillingham is ranked a the No. 8 overall player, No. 1 point guard and No. 2 player in the state of California per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
