Cedric Gray
Throughout his sophomore season, Cedric Gray has really developed into a weekly standout performer for the Tar Heels’ defense.
Against the Wolfpack, Gray had another stellar game. The Charlotte, North Carolina native registered 12 total tackles (which ties his career-high) while also picking up half a sack. Gray was responsible for a fumble recovery that ultimately led to the Tar Heels putting more points on the board.
Gray was simply all over the field, and when the Tar Heels needed a big play, the sophomore linebacker was there to provide it. Although the defense had their fair share of hiccups in this one, watching Gray is a reminder that there is hope for the future of this unit moving forward.
