British Brooks

Prior to last week, British Brooks had just four carries for 10 total yards on the season. The former walk-on was not utilized much in the offense but got an opportunity to see an increase in carries on Senior Night against Wofford, and certainly made the most of them.

After his career day, Brooks earned a chance to get more carries in the Tar Heels’ final regular season contest. Not only did the senior have another great week, but he outdid his performance from a week ago.

Brooks carried the ball 15 times for a game-high 124 rushing yards. The Gastonia, North Carolina native was a force to be reckoned with, as he averaged just under nine yards per carry.

Over the last few weeks, Brooks has really solidified himself as a solid option in the UNC backfield. The attention has been on Ty Chandler for most of the season, but Brooks has developed into another quality option for Phil Longo and company to work with.
