The Seniors

To the 22 UNC football players who took part in today’s Senior Day ceremonies…thank you.

On behalf of Tar Heel nation, we appreciate all that you have done for the program over the last four or five seasons. Your contributions helped turn the program around in a big way, and we will always have some great memories to look back on that you helped create.

In 2017 and 2018, the program won a combined five games. With the way college athletics are nowadays, you all easily could have bolted for another program and looked for opportunities elsewhere.

However, you stuck it out, put in the hard work, and made the program relevant again. Whether you were a starter who didn’t leave the field or a reserve who saw limited action, you all played a huge role in this turnaround.

The program is in better hands now than it was when you arrived on campus. Classes that arrive after you will benefit from all you did and accomplished as a Tar Heel.

On behalf of the Keeping It Heel team, it was a pleasure to watch you over the last few seasons, and we wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors!

Well, we have one more go-around next week, as the UNC football program takes on NC State in their final game of the regular season. Who will earn helmet stickers to wrap up the 2021 campaign? You’ll have to check back with the Keeping It Heel team to find out!
