Antoine Green

Over the last few weeks, Antoine Green has stepped up big time for the North Carolina offensive attack.

Against Pittsburgh, Green hauled in three passes for a team-high 108 yards and two touchdowns. The big play of the night came courtesy of Green, as he took advantage of his defender slipping and took a Sam Howell pass 76 yards for a score.

With his performance on Thursday night, Green now has three straight games in which he’s had 70-plus receiving yards. It also marks the third straight game in which he’s found the end zone, and the first time in his Tar Heel career that he scored multiple times in one contest.

We’ve discussed how North Carolina needs some of their other playmakers (not named Ty Chandler and Josh Downs) to step up, and Green has filled the void nicely. He’s quickly developed into a legitimate option in the Tar Heels’ passing game.
