The comeback effort came up short for the UNC football program, but we still have some helmet stickers to hand out for this week’s contest.

Unlike last week, the UNC football team’s comeback effort came up short in overtime.

After an absolutely brutal first quarter of play, North Carolina slowly crept back into the game against No. 21 Pittsburgh. The Tar Heels were able to tie the game toward the end of regulation, but a Panthers touchdown in overtime halted North Carolina’s attempt at a second consecutive come-from-behind victory.

Once the first 15 minutes of play were over, the Tar Heels’ defense settled in nicely. The offense had its fair share of struggles but was able to put up enough points to keep the game close. Of course, a few questionable play calls (i.e. the fourth down deep pass to Justin Olson) along with some costly penalties on both sides of the ball definitely didn’t help the Tar Heels, but you have to credit them for not folding when the cards were certainly not in their favor.

Although the loss is definitely disappointing, the Keeping It Heel team will try our best not to disappoint you all as well! As always, we have some helmet stickers to hand out, so let’s start with arguably the team’s biggest playmaker on Thursday night.
