Robert Dillingham (2023)

The in-state point guard has been UNC’s top target for just about a year now. A five-star guard that is ranked as one of the top players in this 2023 class, Dillingham was right in both UNC and Dukes backyard.

However, over the past week Dillingham made the move to go out to California and finish his high school career there which could have some implications on his recruitment.

Dillingham is the top target for North Carolina and while rival Duke may also be interested, a team like Memphis or the pro route are likely UNC’s top competition for now. There have been rumblings that the pro route could keep Dillingham from Chapel Hill and as time has gone on, the momentum for that has picked up.

UNC wont back off in this recruitment, nor should they, but this one could get interesting down the stretch and even more so if Duke does amp up their pursuit.
